A program for early years to primary students focused on fostering social-emotional awareness, self-regulation skills and emotional resiliency in children. We will come to your school or learning environment and set up what we refer to as "interactive mindfulness centres". Students are guided through practices like mindful movement/yoga, breathing, sensory activities, and relaxation exercises to teach the 5 qualities of well-being: awareness, calm, kindness, empathy and connection. Then the children are given the opportunity to practice these qualities and skills through interactions with pet bunnies in a safe environment. Each session concludes with a group relaxation. Parents and educators hosting us will receive a resource package and children will receive a mindful toolkit to support their continued mindfulness practice after the session.

A program for junior/intermediate students (grades 4-8) that teaches 5 qualities of well-being to be an effective leader: awareness, calm, clear communication, empathy and compassion. Through the observation and study of a fluffle (aka colony) of rabbits, students learn how to identify their behaviour and dynamics of interaction. Sessions also include lessons about the neuroscience of mindfulness and participation in partner/group and individual mindfulness activities, games, and guided relaxations. All activities guide participants toward honing their social-emotional regulation skills to help them become mindful leaders. Parents and educators hosting us will receive a resource package and children will receive a mindful toolkit to support their continued mindfulness practice after the session.

Weekly mindfulness training sessions for children ages 4-8 years and 9-12 years. Sessions include: mindfulness with animals videos, mindful movement/yoga, breathing strategies, sensory activities, brain/neuroscience investigation, practices in relaxation, and loving kindness/"heartfulness" and gratitude meditations. Each week a special mindful mentor, like our rabbit Jack Kornfield, visits the class to help the children deepen their awareness skills through interacting with this online guest. Parents and/or caregivers are invited to attend a 90-minute "Introduction to Mindfulness" session prior to the child’s online course to provide them with information about the program and the impact on the neural development of the brain. Mindfulness strategies, activities and games are also shared during this session so they may practice with their children at home or outside of class.
